Financial Planning Session Spanish translation available
Mini College Fair Additional sessions: writing a college application essay, life store activity,
College Student Panel Session  

Help - I'm filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), college support for students with accommodations, Drake campus tour. Participants will receive lunch and be entered in the drawing for college giveaways. Participants are invited to attend the entertainment contest by high school groups, following the program.

Jessica Avant, 18 wins the bronze for playwriting
As the greater Des Moines metro, State of Iowa and the whole world focuses on the Olympics in Bejing, the high school a student representing the NAACP Des Moines Branch has returned on August 5 th from Orlando, FL competing in the Afro-Academic Cultural, Scientific, Olympics (ACT-SO) National Competition with a bronze medal in the Humanities category.
