Greetings!

This year, the Des Moines Branch of the NAACP proudly celebrates 110 years of advancing justice and opportunity in Iowa. From education and employment to health, housing, and civic engagement, our mission has always been to help our community not just live and work but thrive.

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, we will host our 48th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet at Prairie Meadows, honoring this milestone under the theme “Legacy to Leadership: The Fierce Urgency of Now.” Our keynote speaker will be Alencia Johnson, bestselling author, Founder and CEO of 1063 West Broad, and national advisor on culture, politics, and social impact.

Your partnership helps us continue the work that began more than a century ago and remains as vital as ever. Sponsorships may support the Freedom Fund Banquet directly or be earmarked toward one of our enduring 2026 commitments: Health & Well-Being, Inclusive Economy, Education Innovation, Race & Justice, Environmental & Climate Justice, and Youth Engagement & Support.

In an era where conversations about equity can feel more complex, your support affirms a simple truth: investing in fairness, education, and opportunity strengthens us all. The NAACP Des Moines Branch has long partnered with government, business, and community leaders to advance practical, community-driven solutions that benefit all Iowans.

Sponsors will receive recognition at the Freedom Fund Banquet and throughout the year across NAACP Des Moines communications and community events.

While the NAACP Des Moines Branch is a 501(c)(4) organization, contributions of $2,500 or more made by non-government agencies may be directed through the NAACP Collective Action Fund (CAF) to ensure 501(c)(3) eligibility.

Thank you for standing with us and for supporting the work still ahead. For more information or to confirm your sponsorship, please contact Secretary Danielle Mitchell at secretary@naacpdesmoines.org.

In Solidarity,
