Diogenes Ayala is the chairman of the Community Coordination Committee. Diogenes was born and raised in New York  City and moved to Iowa in 2005. He is a veteran of the United States Navy, and  holds an undergraduate and graduate degrees in Criminal Justice from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.

 

Diogenes is also a graduate of Texas A&M Infrastructure Protection Program and believes in community resilience.
