Nya O'Harra is a dedicated leader, advocate, and media professional committed to uplifting and empowering her community. She serves the NAACP Des Moines Branch as Chair of the Communications and Media Committee. In this role, she works to amplify critical issues, drive engagement, and ensure transparent and impactful communication.

Beyond her advocacy work, Nya is a former Ms. Iowa Petite 2020, using her platform to inspire confidence, representation, and leadership. She is also a well-known influencer, podcaster, model, and event host. As the creator and host of The Last Word w/ Nya Podcast, she fosters thought-provoking conversations on politics, social issues, entertainment, and more, encouraging listeners to question the world around them.
