Your Des Moines Branch delegates kicked off their day with the Region IV Meeting where Ebonee Woods was elected as region secretary. Also, Betty Andrews, Ebonee Woods, and Kenyada Coney were elected to represent our region on the National Resolutions and Credentials Committees.
The afternoon was spent learning; two examples of sessions include Art and Activism with Artist Nikkolas Smith and Desegregating Boston Schools.
And our evening wrapped up with the Opening Plenary Session covering Racism, Anti-Semitism, and White Nationalism with Meek Mill, Robert Kraft, and Henry Louis Gates and the Youth & College Public Mass Meeting with amazing activities like Rep. Justin Jones (TN) and Conscious Lee.
