October 27 Branch Meeting: 2026 Election Nominations

The NAACP Des Moines Branch will hold its October general membership meeting on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
This meeting is an important part of the branch's 2026 biennial election process.
Date: Tuesday, October 27, 2026 Time: 6:00 p.m. Central Time Location/Access: 1620 Pleasant St.
Election Business
In accordance with NAACP election procedures, election-related business during the October meeting will include:
Presentation of the slate of candidates recommended by the Nominating Committee
Acceptance of eligible nominations from the floor
Election of a five-member Election Supervisory Committee
The Election Supervisory Committee will oversee the branch election process through the November election.

Candidates must satisfy the eligibility requirements established by the NAACP, including applicable membership requirements, and must complete the required candidate consent documentation.
Members considering nomination from the floor should be prepared to complete all required election forms promptly following the October meeting. Candidate information and required consent forms must be submitted for National NAACP eligibility verification as part of the 2026 election process.
