As we prepare to honor one of Iowa’s most significant contributions to civil rights and military history, the NAACP Des Moines Branch invites you to be part of the moment by placing an ad in the Commemorative Souvenir Journal celebrating the Fort Des Moines Historic Marker Unveiling.

This printed keepsake will be distributed during the unveiling ceremony on June 14, 2025, and will serve as both a program and a tribute to the brave African American officers and WAACs who trained at Fort Des Moines.
