OGC Fall Training Institute: It's Not Illegal to Be Black

Tuesday, October 13, 2026 · 5:00–6:00 PM CT · Virtual (Zoom webinar)

There's a place for you here.

The NAACP's Office of General Counsel is continuing its Fall Training Institute — a series of practical, attorney-led trainings on the timely issues facing our communities — and you're invited.

The October session, It's Not Illegal to Be Black: Fighting Back Against Attacks on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the State and Local Level, is facilitated by General Counsel Kristen Clarke. From local governments to public schools, libraries to museums, businesses to colleges and universities, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives are under attack across our country. This session covers how to challenge those rollbacks in your local community, how NAACP members can partner with the Office of General Counsel, and the tools you can use to lift your voice and reclaim your power in this moment.

Come strengthen your knowledge, expand your resources, and bring these tools home to Des Moines.

Registration is through the NAACP national office: Register here
